Special Auditors / Special Research Students
The Faculty / Graduate School of Agriculture, Kyoto University accepts international exchange students from our partner university based on the student exchange agreement. Students status are “Special Auditor” to take courses (undergraduate and graduate students) and “Special Research Student” to conduct their own research under the instruction by academic supervisors (only graduate students). Both “Special Auditor” and “Special Research Student” are non-degree seeking student status at Kyoto University.

Direct application from students will not be accepted. Application should be submitted through the coordinator of the student exchange agreement or the international office of applicant’s home universities.

-An Undergraduate Summer Research Program in Science and Biotechnology-
Kyoto University is pleased to announce “2023 Kyoto University Amgen Scholars Program”, a summer undergraduate research program in science and biotechnology sponsored by Amgen Foundation. It is an eight-week program from June 6 to August 5, 2023.
Application is now open and will be closed at 3 p.m. on February 1, 2023. (JST)[UTC+9 hrs].

A brief description of Kyoto University Amgen Scholars Program is:
– 23 slots will be offered to undergraduate students worldwide to undertake laboratory experience.
– Financial support will be provided such as a round-trip ticket, accommodation and scholarship.
– Students will gain research knowledge, and opportunity to network with other students and professionals, and gain invaluable insight to life as a graduate student.
– In addition to research experience, students also participate in various workshops, educational and cultural based activities, as well as a three-day Asia Symposium.
