ISHS visits GSA to discuss joint activities and IHC2026

The president and other board members of the International Society for Horticultural Science (ISHS) visited the Graduate School of Agriculture (GSA) of Kyoto University during their stay in Kyoto over three days from 2 to 4 September. They met with Prof. Ryutaro Tao (vice-dean of GSA) and Assoc. Prof. Ryuhei Nakano (from Kizu Experimental Farm of GSA) to discuss further collaboration and prospective joint workshops in IHC2026.

The ISHS, whose headquarters is in Belgium, is a world’s leading organization of horticulturists including not only in natural science but humanities & social science with a large number of members of individuals, institutional members, and country and region members. (https://www.ishs. org/

The 32nd international horticultural congress (IHC2026) supported by GSA will be held at the Kyoto International Conference Center on August 2026. (https://www.ihc2026.org/)They also talked about the possibilities of having a joint symposium of ISHS and GSA in addition to graduate student workshops aligned with the IHC 2026
