Special Lectures by Professional Engineers Commenced at the Graduate School of Agriculture

The Graduate School of Agriculture, Kyoto University, is pleased to host a weekly seminar for spring semester to be presented by professional engineers from leading Japanese machinery companies to introduce innovative new product concepts and agricultural industry including the issues of life, food and the environment.

A world- leading company which manufactures weighing and packaging equipment for foods was invited to give the lecture on May 12. Students were also given a demonstration of equipment during the lecture. They also had a chance to operate the actual machines of food weight measurement and packing, and were greatly impressed by the speed of processing as well as weighing accuracy.

This course is offered as a part of the Transdisciplinary Graduate Program and medium of language is entirely in English.  Many international and Japanese students from Graduate School of Agriculture as well as other schools have taken this course over the years.
