Scholarships for Students of Special Course in Agricultural Sciences

*As the admission guideline of the GSA, applicants must 1) completed 16 years of school education, 2) hold an undergraduate degree to enroll Master’s course and a Master’s degree to enroll doctoral course, and 3) have adequate English proficiency, both in written and oral communication.

Asia Development Bank: ADB-JSP Scholarship (Currently Closed)

Travel expenses to Japan upon arrival and for departure
Living allowance:  144,000JPY/  month
Medical/ accident insurance
Must check points for eligibility of this scholarship 1.   Be a national of an ADB borrowing member country.

2.  Possess a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent including a superior academic record.

3.  Have at least two years of full-time professional working experience.

4.   Proficiency in oral and written English communication skills to be able to pursue studies.

5.   Not be more than 35 years old at the time of application.

6.   Agree to return to his/her home country after completion of studies under the   Program.

Must check points for eligibility of this scholarship 1. Citizens of one of the 12 Asian target countries (Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Pakistan, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam)

2. Those who have graduated from 60 partner universities set by JICA. Students from greement held universities with Kyoto University and/ or Graduate School of Agriculture, Kyoto University have priorities.

3. All participants are expected to experience internships at Japanese companies, research institutes, or governmental organizations, etc. during summer break and/or other appropriate opportunities.

Application procedure Those who are willing to apply JICA Innovative Asia scholarship must first go through the application of Special Course in Agricultural Sciences. Few successful candidates of the special course are going to be recommended to JICA from Kyoto University.
