Zhejiang University Professor and Students Visit GSAKU

Prof. Li Xian and 15 undergraduate students from Zhejiang University, China visited the Graduate School of Agriculture (GSAKU) to have a meeting with Dean Prof. Eiji Nawata and Prof. Ryutaro Tao on October 24th.

Dean Nawata welcomed the delegation by talking about the time he visited Hangzhou where Zhejiang University is located. Prof. Tao talked about the history of GSAKU and the WINDOW Concept in his introduction of Kyoto University. He also mentioned international symposia, double degree programs, and other international exchange activities conducted in GSAKU as well as research and educational activities in each division. Finally, Ms. Yuri Ohara from the Student Affairs Office of GSAKU gave a presentation about the Special Course in Agricultural Sciences in which international students can complete their graduate studies by taking English-taught courses only. General information such as admission procedures and available scholarships were mentioned and Prof. Li and the students all listened attentively to Ms. Ohara’s presentation.

We expect enrollment of more students from Zhejiang University and to further strengthen the partnership between GSAKU and Zhejiang University in the future.
